Week 1
So, for our Animation Studio II class this semester, we’re supposed to write a blog entry every week detailing our progress on our projects, both in and out of this class.
Things have honestly been quite chaotic. I barely had a chance to get settled during the first week of classes before we were all stuck at home because of ice/snow for the entirety of week 2. I got very little done that week. My head has been all over the place and staying at home meant staying in bed and, really, I was just overcome with the sheer amount of things I needed to catch up on. Anyway. This is me crossing another item off of my very long to-do list.
Scrum
The concept of scrum is fascinating. I know it’s used pretty widely both in and out of creative industries, but it seems to be a first for all of my classmates. I’m slowly getting the hang of it. Some small aspects I am still unsure of, but overall I think it’ll be helpful when we really start working on our project. The Miro board is chaotic an d overwhelming, but I love organization and we should get into a good rhythm soon. I hope.
Class
I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that we will be using cameras in this class. As you can see in my portfolio and on my Instagram, I really love photography. I’ve never done photogrammetry, but I’m looking forward to learning. Yippee.
Other Stuff
The main thing I worked on the last few days was this video for the UTD Chamber Singers choir. It’s a bit different from my usual work, but I like how it turned out. Very hashtag art film. Fitting for my VPAS class, probably.
I do not have much else to report. I got BTS tickets. Too many, probably. I saw a perfectly shaped snowflake for the first time in my life. I haven’t drawn in a long time but I doodled and that made me feel nice. My Chemical Romance started their South American tour. I ate a lot of pastries from Sweet Hut. I ordered a planner from the Moleskine website that I hope will magically allow me to get my life together. Ok, goodbye.
